Washington is renamed Lady Washington.

Joseph Barrell and five other Boston merchants organize a Northwest expedition.

The vessels sailed in company until separated in a gale off Cape Horn.
Lady Washington reached Nootka where she spent the winter.

Kendrick takes over Lady Washington.

Captain Kendrick on board Lady Washington came to Macao where he refitted her as a brig.

Kendrick arrived in Japan's Oshima Island.
1791 September
The natives of Queen Charlotte Island briefly take Lady Washington.

Kendrick was killed in Honolulu when a British ship saluted him with a loaded gun.
Lady Washington then sailed to China under John Howel.

Lady Washington left Canton under a new captain where she proceeded to Hawaii.
